TORONTO — Every Toronto FC match at BMO Field is noisy, but after a long winter, supporters' voices will likely be even stronger at the 2008 home opener today.
Spirits are up after Toronto's 3-2 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy last Sunday, so the din should be at a peak for the match against Real Salt Lake.
How loud will it be?
The crowd noise should be heard over at the Rogers Centre, the first tomb with a retractable roof, and might startle some of the Toronto Blue Jays' fans out of their torpor. And if the wind is blowing right, the noise might even distract a Maple Leaf or two on their favourite mid-April golf course as they hunker over a putt.
After one season, opposing Major League Soccer teams know now what it is like to come to BMO Field.
