CALGARY — Brian Mason was re-elected as leader of the Alberta New Democrats at the party's annual convention in Calgary on Saturday.
Mason had said he wanted to remain at the helm as the party rebuilds from its devastating loss of half its seats in the last provincial election.
There are now just two sitting members of the NDP - Mason and Rachel Notley - while the Conservatives hold 72 of Alberta's 83 seats.
"I am honoured to have been re-elected as leader," Mason said.
"Our job now turns to revitalization. We are committed to look at every avenue by which we can grow the party, and reach out to Albertans from every walk of life."
