Calgary police worry about retribution after gang slaying

CALGARY - As Calgary gang members prepare to bury Roger Chin, and consider revenge against their rivals, city police say they're redoubling their efforts to prevent more violence.

Chin, 23, died in a drive-by shooting Saturday night and police are tasked not only with trying to find the culprits, but also ensuring rival gang members or innocent bystanders aren't hurt or killed in any bid to avenge
his death.

"We are always concerned, after a violent incident like this, that there will be retribution," Insp. Shaun Gissing of the organized crime section told reporters today.
