Three men were killed and a woman was injured early Saturday in a single-vehicle crash in New Brunswick's capital.
Fredericton police are releasing few details about the accident, which happened around 2:30 a.m. AT alongside the Saint John River in the downtown area.
Cpl. Timothy Sowers said a Pontiac Firebird travelling northbound on Regent Street left the road and entered the water near the city's lighthouse.
Sowers said a woman managed to escape the vehicle. She remains in hospital with minor injuries but is expected to be released soon, he added.
Sowers couldn't say what likely caused the accident.
The victims' names have not been released.
